This is gorgeous Alex! Truly beautiful. Mark's method is a lot easier once you get the hang of it. He's painted some gorgeous horses too. You will be able to get all those beautiful value shifts like you have here no problem.

Beautiful horse, love the colors and the eyes in particular! If you've not seen it, Mark painted the head/neck of a wonderful horse.....think its on his website and he also used the painting during a lecture he gave at a meeting in Georgia (I think!). The video of the lecture is on YouTube. Also a last year or early this year, Myriam (aka myc) painted a horse as a commissioned painting that was also really fantastic!
