Hello all my name is Alex.I have been painting for a few years but in layers any glazes. I have always had a stuff time with the wet on wet method.. Here is my first tcm 11x14
Wow, I know you feel as if you grown 10 years from your original technique. I love the composition. I love the layering and glazing method, but its just too timely for me. Wet in to Wet is for me.
The rose beautiful painted, and the mask is gorgeous. The cloth to me is the perfect color. Nice smooth. Each part stand so well on its own. Great Job for your first!!! =D> =D> =D> . Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looks pretty good to me. It always helps to encourage comment if you post your setup as well.

It's really helpful to see what you started with and how you ended up.
This is beautifully painted especially considering this is your first try with direct method and you didn't have the right medium. I think you did great! My favorite is the mask. I appreciate the transitions you have here. Great value changes!
Edit button? After you post move your mouse to the far right of your name (almost to the other side) and a little black icon will appear that looks like a wheel(?) with the word 'options' click on that and you can edit your post. I have to all the time cause my one cat loves to walk in front of my screen when I'm typing!
Great job Alex! I will be looking forward to seeing what you do next with the right medium. It will make it so much easier for you
Great job! I agree with Denis that I like to see the setup picture too. The leaves are the only thing that don't read "real" to me. Awesome job on the rose and those are so difficult to paint.
Congratulations on your first wet on wet Alex!! I too think you did a fine job and once you get your SDM working you will see how much easier it is to work wet on wet. I tried the glazing layer method once ... got that out of my system real quick although there was nothing quick about the method. Looking forward to watching you progress.
