Hello again from West Texas

It has been awhile since I have been here.  I have been using acrylic paints while I learn the basics but now feel it's time to move on to my main objective, oil painting. While excited I am VERY apprehensive!  How do you get the courage to move off your crutch.  I still use watercolor for field studies and such but when it get down to working in the studio I want to work with oils exclusively.  All suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Mark is so amazing and if it wasn't for him I might not have gotten back into art at all after a 40 year hiatus.  Life just gets in the way if you give it a chance.
