Painting apprentice geisha -Maiko Satohana oil painting on linen

This is a 33cm x 53cm oil painting on linen I did of Maiko Satohana from the Kamishichiken hanamachi (geisha district) of Kyoto, Japan. Maiko are apprentice geisha, usually training around 5 years before becoming geisha. I have drawn her many times before, but this is my first attempt at an oil painting of her. I actually said "Wow, that is beautiful!" out loud when I saw this painting. My husband now thinks I am nuts and talking to myself - but "Wow, that is beautiful!"
