Bringing home the panda, the shell and tulips?

The drawing studio I was previously helping out at was closing so the boss told me to bring home my drawings and painting.. I just finished the baby panda now leaving the background and foreground as it is..

And the shell is not done up.. Couldn't find the reference. and I'm not sure if I should darken my watercolour Callalily?

Mavis those are great! I especially love the panda. I don't think those are tulips but I can't think of what they are called now. calle lilly maybe?

Yeah thanks Sue.. I think it's a lily after I looked at my tulips hahaha! glad you liked them.. I hope I'm not spamming my drawings/paintings here..

Gary! I was working on the other watercolour hahaha.. There was an accident two drips of blue fell on e petals.. I'll see if I can rescue that.

The Shell took me 8hrs @[email protected] intially i thought it looked like caramel and blueberry ice cream ) till I add the lines in.. <:-P

No it's coloured pencils, gouache and ink. (maybe a mistake to post it.)

I'm done with the shell! didn't have the reference picture anymore so I looked at other similar shells and just doodled my way~

Thanks @Cin_D but because i left it aside for too long, it seemed the top and bottom there's a little difference in the drawing style.. now I think the top looks more organic than the bottom. Haha

they are wonderful and i love the unfinished panda..it is the kind of picture that forces whomever is viewing it to imagine the rest of the unfinished portion. To me, this keeps the person enjoying it longer without having to many focal points to keep the viewer interested...very well done..thank you

@Werby its a struggle I have.. My drawings look better at the sketchy stage haha.. Always not sure to finish it properly or leaving it.. so I thought at least the "subject" in this case the panda is done and I liked the a squiggles I suggested with a few lines. to me.. It's completed. Haha..

thats all that matters is you enjoy it before and after.It would make a wonderful painting especially concentrating on the panda and what he is concentrating on and leaving the background simple. I am lucky I work in DC and the zoo is free and close and the pandas are incredible..like big overstuffed toys and watching them brings out the child in me..wonderful picture
