posting a painting - experiment of Hallett Peak

edited February 2013 in Post Your Paintings
I always feel like I over-saturate my colors and couldn't seem to stop, so what I did was I took this photo I had taken of Hallett Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park, and took the contrast all the way down and took the saturation all the way down. I printed it, put it in a plastic sleeve and was careful to match the colors as best I could. I put a dab of color on the plastic and it was a real good lesson in color matching. I actually like it. Seems like a whisper can say more than yelling at the viewer. 8x10
