Hi all. On my second DMP still life, I have a cloth as part of the main object with heavy texture. Think of very course burlap type texture. I realized halfway into it that this might be more advanced than I wanted to take on for painting number 2. How do you "add" texture and keep it from being painted as "flat". I wonder if you can maintain some abstraction in order to replicate a detailed surface. The more I ponder it the more I think that's the only way to do it but I don't know how.
