Hello all.
I have just decided to take up oil painting in the last couple of months. I don't know exactly why, but felt it was a good way to create and express. I have done a lot of woodwork in the past, and I "sketch" from time to time, but feel like I have no particular talent that way.
I would like to paint for fun, and I suspect I would do more landscapes than anything, but I would like a solid understanding of the medium, the techniques, etc. I have seen many youtube videos by Bill Martin, Wilson Bickford, etc, but after seeing Mark's demo, I think this is where I should start.
My question is, for a solid understanding should I go for the Realism lesson? Any other tips are welcome.
