Hi, I have been "lurking" for a couple of months. Finally got around to posting my picture on the avatar. I am an Interior Designer by profession. I started majoring in art back in the 78 but became discouraged by professors who only liked abstract works at the time. So I changed my major to something else I could do that was creative. I have been lucky to make a living at something I enjoy. No regrets, as the architectural drawing and perspective really help when you draw and paint. So I am now back to my first love, getting in the time to paint when I can. Here is a little painting I just finished as a gift. They loved it and I got 3 commisions out of it from others! That was a welcome surprise. It is acrylic on canvas. I do paint in regular oils and water mixable oils also. Have also done some drawings which I will post on another thread. I take workshops from painters I admire when I can and they come to the area. Also am taking Atelier classes, like Gary. Looking forward to looking at Mark's portrait videos. Bought the old and downloading the new one also.

Just to let you know--you have several days to edit your comments, so you can change the name on your original post. If you put your cursor near the upper right-hand corner of your post a little black cog appears. When you click on that, a drop down box saying "edit" appears. Click on that box to edit.
That is a whole lot of well rounded experience and motivation there!
It sounds like we do not need to do any promotion of Mark's wonderful methods.
Welcome to the Forum.

Really look forward to seeing more of your work. Good for you for going after what you wanted and not settling for what your professors said was 'right'!
Charley, the breed is a Chichuahua. According to my nephew they saved it from spending the rest of her life as a breeding dog. She is a sweetie.
I am so glad you introduced yourself and I look forward to seeing more of you.
Congratulations on the three commissions.
Best regards,
Alberto
Bien dicho! Saludos de una Cubana. Mis dos abuelos eran de Espana. Uno Gallego y el otro de las Islas Canarias. Sus pinturas son,no solamente bonitas, pero bien hechas y interesantes.

Thanks Alberto,
Well said! Greetings from a Cuban native. My two grandfathers were from Spain. One from Gallicia and the other from the Canary Islands. Your paintings are not only beautiful but well made and interesting.
