Here is my latest painting of Dismal River White Court, a nice par 3 which had a cool sky one of the days I played it. 20x30 inches, my largest canvas to date. I have found the large canvas much more time consuming as I can't simply finish up one color in one sitting and have resigned myself to compartmentalizing sections of the painting and then moving on. Not something I have really had to do with prior paintings, at least not to this extent. The first photo shows the photo and initial dark areas. The second shows a close up of the left portion of the painting, unfortunately with too much glare. The 3rd photo shows the green complex and progress to date.

Looking good. Love the grass texture. Well done.

@Hillyman the green changed simply because of the addition of the sky, no other work was done on it after I finished that area. As to the clouds, understand what you are saying, but the dramatic sky if it pulls attention away is fine with me as well. It was very dramatic at the time as it is in the middle of nowhere and to see a large storm rolling up is quite an experience. Here is a view from the clubhouse with the storm rolling in and just how in the middle of nowhere you are. Thanks again for taking time to comment, it is appreciated.
