Here is a product that has potential to replace solvents in your studio.
I have not tried the Zest-It range but there are some good reviews.
No idea how this product will work with SDM.
If this product is available in your area, give it a try and tell the story.
There should be a heap of Floridians promoting this stuff.

if it can be used as a brush cleaner then it would seem it would also remove the stain on your canvas that you are painting on top of. Hmm???

I think the Zest it solvent (brush cleaner) and the Zest it dilutant are different products.
I'm sure the solvent in SDM would also remove un-polymerized canvas stain.

I'd want to know what it's made of before I used it. Their website says it's made with citrus zest, but their solvent is "citrus-free", so not sure what that's supposed to mean. They claim it can dissolve damar and mastic resin, so it sounds like quite a powerful solvent (I don't think Gamsol can dissolve damar resin).

I don't intend to defend or support these products as I have never used them.
However, from my reading the 'citrus free' labelled product uses grapefruit zest to avoid the lemon or orange odor that some people may object to.

Weird. Grapefruit is a citrus fruit.
