Bhopali, it should say "attach files" on the bottom left of your post box. But of of mobile devices doesn't have it. You need to do it in your computer. If it not show in your computer try to sign out get out the website completely. And then go back and sign in again.
I have a tendency to draw out too much detail that in the end is unnecessary. What you drew out is perfect! Do you have a website or blog where I can see your other works?
Kaye, How come you didn't choose the base coating color as Mark suggested in his Video ? Good for you to start, Keep us posted !
Because he took a crappy cell phone pic. I should let you in on something. Kaye painted this early this year and I filmed the whole thing as part of my Color Work show. I should pull up some screens from the video... because these cell phone pics are horrible :-)
Kaye wanted to tease you guys a bit with his progress pics. :-)
Hi Kaye, it looks like you have painted a lot of the bottle with the same colour. If you study the real bottle you will see that almost every paint stroke will be a different colour.
Me: " I blend it. How is it? " Mark: " What is this?. I told you the blend it, not Milky it." Me: Uaaa Mark: " where is the black shadow of the fabric?. Black have to be black not the milky black. You mess it all up... Didn't you ever use the color checker at all?.... Me: Uaa, Kind of...
Well, here we go.. Liz.. just like you mention that...
Mark: " Wipe it all off and re-paint it.." Me: " Come again Mark " Mark: " You heard me " Me: " Ok "
Here I am, back to the beginning...Well, I learn something for sure...lol..:))) What you guy see below was the result of my Milky Way ...lol..have to wipe it off and start it over..;)))
Kaye I've read this 3 times. They way you wrote what happened? It's so funny. You are a character. I had no idea Mark was such a tyrant as a teacher. The pic above? Is this the one he made you wipe out? Can't wait to read what you post next about being one of his students LOL.
And Mark's voice grows ever louder in our heads as we paint! Is it to green? Is it to blue? Is the step to large? Did I remember to balance my whites? .......time to join Kaye for a Milky Way break.....or a big glass of wine....or both!
Sounds like my story Kaye. I painted a pomegranate and Mark loved it. I blend it like crazy thinking it looks awesome now. Mark, " You ruined it!" Me, "But I blended it so it would look round". Mark, "Wipe it off and do it again and don't ruin it blending". I did it again and it was better but still did not get a great first painting...why? Because I did not take enough time, did not check every stroke of paint and blended way too much!
I guess we can all recall being in the same position (and can still be in the same position LOL). Just keep listening to the videos, it has to eventually sink in!!!!
You guys will get to see him struggle though the whole thing :-)
We filmed Kaye painting this, well actually I never saw him paint it, but I would come by every couple days and look at his progress. My advice usually would simply be, "did you check that color?" or, "which one was is more contrasty or which pattern is more subtle?"
The thing about Kaye is he would always be sooo down on himself, he was never happy with anything he did. That is what stops people from making any progress. But of course I would come by every few days and say, "WOW, go dude!!!!".
So he kept going. He repainted several things, mainly the things he started with, because he got better as he went and then wanted to redo the bottle and some of the background fabric.
I have not started editing his "show", but was looking at a clip the other day. I came over and he was all upset with his work... and I was all smiles. It was funny to see him so pessimistic knowing he was going to end painting this beautiful little still life!
Kaye... I thougt for sure your painting would be good but oh my I was not expecting it to be GREAT!!!!!! How proud you must be. I am thrilled for you! warmly, Shirley S. ^:)^
Kaye, this looks great. I see that the colors and chroma levels in the finished painting are much different than in the unfinished version, especially the table top and the bottles. Did you have to repaint these areas or is it just a difference in the photos?
Kaye, This painting is OUTSTANDING !!! You've captured the glass so greatly ! Mark..with every awesome painting from oen of us you are earning an "Outstanding selfless citizen Award Points" :-)

Thanks, Martin
The last was a still from my video camera, the others were from Kaye's phone. :-)
Thank you for sharing all that, Kaye, including your sense of humour... you have inspired me to paint again ... (I've been recently concentrating on my drawing skills).

How do I post paintings ? Umm..I am missing the upload selection...
Thanks!
Nice setup, looking forward to seeing your progress!
The only thing what looks a bit off to me is the top of the little glas inside the bigger one....not sure so.
Very good start Kaye.

Splendid. Just splendid. I must say a difficult composition though. Well done.
