I started sketching on hardboard prepped for paint today of the botched restoration. I was proposing it as a challenge but thought would be a fun image to try and tackle either way. It is nice to break a way from the Vermeer and try something new. This is a challenge since most of the image is gone but enough remains to use a little imagination and a lot of patience.

I like the idea of restoring this from what little there is...... I'm very busy with lots on tho go, but I am interested in taking a look at this.... I might have a go at trying to reconstruct this.

Finished a large part of the dead layer and will let dry before glazing the face and robe.
