Imaginary composition colors etc. the figures in someway represent my grandmother, myself in the middle and my little brother off to the side eating his share.
Thank you all for the comments. When my grandfather was still alive he tended these wild blackberries on our land for decades, but in 2008 a drought wiped them out. For years there were only a few here and there. I moved across the state, and haven’t been home much. However, in the last couple of years I have made it a point to take the kids to the farm house and spend time there. And I hope it pleases everyone to know. The blackberries have rejuvenated. There was by my estimation about 20 acres worth. They aren’t as well managed as my grandfathers were, but there were hundreds of thousands of berries nevertheless.
Interesting style and composition. What size is the work? And what medium is it?
I found the frame and made a canvas to fit it. I believe it is around 22 inches by 35 inches. Give or take. And it’s in oils. I used pthalo blue, cad yellow, cad red and titanium white. Wet in wet all in one sitting. The composition was from a doodle I did when I was in law school, clearly not paying attention the the lecture.

I feel sad we all must leave one day leaving behind all of these. It's overwhelming to think, even my memories wouldn't be mine.
Sorry if I got too emotional, but hey that's what art can do isn't it?
