
I've finally got something to post again!
Graphite on Bristol paper from a phone photo.
I photoshopped the source photo to lighten and blur the background. I think it needed a bit more lightening to help the figures emerge more.
I enjoyed learning to look closely again (eyes), the woman's shoes were done first time, the boy's nose has been redone most.
I'm happy for feedback and critique.

It took 5 weeks so I'm guessing about 30 hours in lots of short sessions.
It's 10" x 8”. It's just about the most popular size for mounts and frames so I'm going with the flow.
@Lucian @Abstraction they are my wife and two kids ages ago. We had spent the morning at a travelling fairground and collapsed ready for the parade. Yes, it was a instantly a favourite photo.
@dewald I know what you mean. In daily life it's not polite to look below shoulder height. Studying a picture often throws up surprises hiding in plain sight.
