Hi @Skye99 . There are people who started painting on this forum and through Draw, Mix, Paint guidance that Mark provides who now have art exhibitions, even after very few years. Don't lose heart in the early stages, just enjoy every step. Painting is a set of skills far more than a gift. Skills take a while to develop and that feeling being out-of-our-depth at times which we find uncomfortable is actually a great thing: it's a feeling that comes with learning. (Of course, now you'll tell me you're a well-known pastel artist who is just adding painting to their arsenal of well-developed artistic skills.)
