“40 Minute Wait” • 16 x 20 in. • oil on canvas

It all started when I had to wait 40 minutes in a Cook Out Drive Thru in order to get my order. It was totally worth the wait. When I arrived at my house, I setup my own still life scene, photographed it, then ate the burger and fries.

Weeks later I did this painting (created with Geneva Oil Paint)

I like how, although it's very loose and soft focus, this coalesce into a meaningful realistic painting. Accurate values and good color make this happen. 

Abstraction

I love this. To me the subject in itself has no romance or interest - but you have created these by turning it into a loose sketch that abstracts it so beautifully.

Great idea for a subject and your loose brushwork makes me think this is the platonic ideal of a burger.  I'm hungry just looking at this.
