Painting the Universe in Oils!๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜

  • Thanks for sharing. I've been wanting to learn to make this type of space paintings, but then I realized that, while they do require skill to make, the end result is not something I'd enjoy looking at for long periods of time. It's the type of thing that gets old really fast, in my opinion.

  • I agree that this view may lose it's appeal in the short run.๐Ÿคฃ
ย The final result of such paintings I believe is up the artist's skill level. For instance I used to paint images of the universe with an airbrush but I no longer airbrush. But I do see potential in further developing this through technique. I also used to render images of the universe in sidewalk chalk in the streets to add to my interest of the painting technique. The sidewalk chalk technique often reminded me of the quality of airbrushed work. One note that I've learned is when reference is given for a nebula or a galaxy, ie. NGC 02145, this helps the viewer to better appreciate the painting.
ย I may try this out just for fun and experimentation.
