Acrylic Fantasy Landscape on Canvas - like to hear your thoughts.

I had some acrylic paint to use that was gifted so I gave it a try. I was surprised how quickly the paint dries! I painted this earlier this year before DMP. I found that I like using oils more or perhaps it's just what you get used to. I saw on another post that it's possible to use oil paint over acrylic. Is there a particular reason that you would want to do that?

This is really nice! I like the trees especially.

Some artists use acrylic for an underpainting which dries quickly and then oils over the top for the main painting.

This is really good, @whunt. I like the surreal sky. And I love the way you've handled the foliage of the trees. 

I stain my canvases with acrylic. I make a colour that occurs in the shadows throughout the painting. I want this stain  to dry quickly so I can start on the oils and acrylic is great for that.
