Colour mixing practice

Practicing mixing several colours from a Palette of blue, red, yellow and white.

While I am not presently in the working on a painting frame of mind I wanted to put some time in somehow that would be useful.

I just did some basic mixes and will move on to more difficult ones next.

Using basic acrylics as I dont want to waste my oils on the exercises.

Its the first time I have sat down and had a proper go and I am pleasantly surprised that I managed to get the colours mixed fairly rapidly and intuitively.


I guess ive learned a few things over my past 4 years of painting

I think after you do a lot of color / value matching it just becomes natural and you don't get too concerned about scraping your pallet clean in the middle of a painting.
