I agree with tassieguy. Is this your own photo? It has an almost painterly quality already!
@allforChrist I like the second one a bit better. I am having difficulty with the table, maybe its orientation or the vase's relationship to it.. perhaps the intense sense of perspective it lends the piece. I find that something about the flow is interrupted by the linear grain, (the edge of the table top in the first one), and how precariously near the edge the vase looks in both. Do you happen to have a smaller circular table, perhaps with less grain? Something like that might be less distracting as the vase, flowers, and light are the stars of the show!I love the sense of atmosphere, the delicate flowers, and the quality of the light. This is going to make a stunning painting!
@allforChrist Sometime a photo is best left as a photo. Too much open space. Too delicate. Not strong in the shape department. Better more dramatic lighting. More big shapes using a lower point of view.
@toujours Thanks for your thoughts on this. I think I'm going to try it out anyway. This photo would mean a lot to me in a painting (these specific flowers have a bit of a story)Praying it will still work out! Thanks again
