I just finished my daughter portrait .I still have to do some touch up ,seems like I am never happy but let's say is 95 % done.Thanks for watching.

OMG. Everyone on here is blowing me away. I honestly thought that was a photograph until I enlarged it. Then I could see the incredible detail you've achieved. I'm in awe! What an incredible painting with amazing colour depth and richness. Simply amazing! What techniques did you use? Proportional dividers? How long have you spent on it?

Hi Marcus I am glad you like it.I am using a king of grid and then I am using Carder Method in two layers and then touch ups everywhere and at the and glazing.I spent about 80 hours.

What a beautiful painting and a beautiful young lady! I love it all but would point out a couple of things in particular. The streak of reflected light on her right cheek between her nose and the corner of her mouth is special to me, not sure exactly why but it adds something special that seems to go with the pose and look on your daughters face. I'd also mention her hands, hands are so hard to do and I think you did a fantastic job. The color of her nails and the computer are a special touch that remind me of my daughter and how fast they grow up. Computers seem to have replaced crayons in many ways!

Superb portrait. Excellent use of warm and cool flesh tones reflecting the the room light and computer screen. Really helps to portray the modeling and depth. Composition is hugely successful in this work, as is the choice of the colour scheme. Well done.

Thank you everyone for your appreciation and your comment. The big mistake I did with the photo auto level using photoshop which came out too contrasty and too saturated .I always have problems with photographing paintings.

This is for Tattooartist . Yes I am still using Mark's pallete for skin tone .You don't have to think about skin tone ,you just have to match the colors to the photo.You know one day I found a tube of magenta and I said let me try to do skin tone with magenta .I started to mix and compare thinking to the color wheel ,came out really well .

Here's a silly question, but may I ask..how did you paint her eyebrows exactly? Very small detail brush? Did you paint the skin tone first then laid them on top after? Sorry to be a pain.

It would be nice if those posting pics of their works would volunteer more detailed information about their making. Isn't that the main idea for having a forum?

I happy to share everything I know.In fact I painted first the skin tone an then when dry I spreaded a bit of oil on that area (helps flowing the paint better )and then with flat angle brush and the right color I did the eyebrow.I couldn't believed how easy it was.

This is just crazyily spot on. I mean I just can't see any difference between the photo and the painting. Did you paint one dot at a time?

Sorry Amrit, both of them are the same painting.The first photo was to contrasty because i tried to adjust it with photoshop( auto tone) .I am still struggling with photographing my painting. Sorry about that
