Apple Painting - I'm new to oils!

This is very impressive, @Allie. The first apple I painted was nowhere near as good.  Your values and colours are beautiful and I really like the loose, impasto brushwork. Well done!  I look forward to seeing more from you.

When you say you are new to oils does that mean you have painted in other mediums?

@KingstonFineArt Thank you so much! Yes, while I am new to oils, I have painted mainly in watercolours (and a little bit of acrylics). I have spent about the past year really focussing on charcoal to really try to  practice my skills! Loving oils though! It feels great to use colour again!

really nice colors your have mixed there and haven't over-blended (which i tended towards).. you're exactly in the right direction!

The shape and brushwork looks great.  It has a fresh feel to it.  The bit of reddish color is a nice complement to the yellow green.
