Thought I’d do something a little different for me. This is from a photo taken at night when we stayed in this inn probably 10 or so years ago. I have a tendency to overwork stuff, so I intentionally did it fast (for me)-probably a day and a half total, alla prima.

Very atmospheric suggesting a twilight zone of sorts.  The lights on the inn and their bounce in the window balance nicely.  Ineresting.

The forum white background color does not do the work justice.  Right clicked and opened in a new tab, which has a black background (in Chrome or Edge) however, reveals the work in all it's subtlety.

I get that excited feeling of having finally arrived at an exotic getaway after a long days travel...

You sir, are not afraid of the dark, and have comfortably wrapped us up in it with this piece.

@CBG, I Agree. The white background does not always show paintings to their best advantage. i opened it in a new tab and got a larger view against a dark background and it really does highlight the strengths of this painting.

@HondoRW, whatever you did differently in this one keep doing it. You said you  "intentionally did it fast". I think fast works for you. But fast doesn't mean thoughtless. I bet you thought a lot about this before you started to slap the paint on. I think it's your best work.
