This is a portrait of my daughter and me just a few months before the pandemic. My son took the reference photo. We were in a funky little coffee shop. The lighting intrigued me so I was compelled to paint the scene.
I am a retired IT administrator after about 35 years. I started out as an art and music major in 1971. Changed my majors to computer science and business in 1976. Retired in 2014 and began to rebuild my art skills. In 2018 I began putting in three to five hours per day drawing and painting. This past six months I ran across Mark’s tutorials and advice. The best instruction I’ve received since Daniel Greene and John Howard Sanden. So grateful for DMP. It is a very positive influence on my work.

I don't know if you want comment and critique on the painting so I'll just say that it's a good double portrait.
