Hello to everybody! 
I'm new here.
I'm from Belgium.
This is a friend's portrait, oil on board, 30 x 30 cm.

That’s fantastic work.  I’ve got to ask you how do you get such a smooth brushless look?

@Rebecca, can you tell us what surface you used and whether it was done alla prima or with glazes?

It's painted on wood panel, that's why it's look smooth brushless.

It's painted on wood panel. I don't work alla prima but with different layers of paint. The layers are more and more detailed and I wait that layers are dry to put another one on it. Sorry if my english are not very well! I hope you understand me.

Good to know that my english is not too bad.

No, I don't glaze between layers. I don't really use glaze because I'm not really comfortable with this technique. I need to practice it more! But for the last layer of paint I use more medium so the paint is thinner and a little bit transparent like a glaze.
