Hi everyone, i’m very new at painting.
I’m trying to mix a sky color using only the primary colors: tita white, crimson red, ultra marine blue, cadmium yellow (also have burn umber).
My goal is to use only these colors as I’m trying to follow the method from drawmixpaint and the color wheel. I must have watched the youtube video “how to match any color with oil paint” more times than I can count but no luck getting anywhere close to this blue. What am I doing wrong? I go through all my questions one by one (does it need more blue, yellow, red etc).
Any color I get is either to greyish or goes towards yellow. Even when adding very small amount before mixing. Spent a good 4 hours on this and starting to doubt myself. Maybe painting isn’t for everyone after all...

It's already on your palette. A mid value blue green. Maybe a little on the blueish? Cobalt?
not sure I understand. You see the light blue color of the sky in the picture I posted on my palette?
(maybe I need to get my eyes checked) 🤣
Try cerulean blue with titanium white. Progressively add in specs of alizarin crimson until you achieve the grey level you seek.

2. Your colour from the eyedropper tool
3. Same hue and value but maximum chroma at that value.
