Hello from Bend, Oregon. I started a couple of years ago and have never shared my paintings. Wasn't taking it seriously at all. Well I still don't, but I appreciate all the videos from Mark. Thought I would give out this forum thing a try. Here is a portrait of my father.

Welcome to the forum.  That’s a good painting. I like how you incorporated the trees.  I gather that’s an ax he has flung over his shoulder?

GTO- it is funny that you ask that. I had a spare handle with no axe head on it, so I had him hold it. I had to frame it so that the axe head didn't show it the picture (because there was no axe head lol). In hindsight I should have just gave him a real axe and included it in the composition. live and learn

I absolutely love, how every human has such a unique signature in their paintings. Even kids. I love this.

Thanks @KellyCanada. I think lol. Not sure if you were referring to me as a kid, but I am 40. Now I have been wondering if my paintings look like a child did them. Thanks for giving yet another complex to deal with jk
