The Lighthouse - After Aivazovsky

My second seascape paintings and again after Aivazovsky.

Oil on Canvas 40x40cm

I like the clouds but unfortunately they don´t look as good in the photo as they really are on the painting.

I do not want to make excuses, but photos of oil paintings from smartphone - sometimes it is harder to take a good photo than the painting itself.

Very nice piece!  I like the composition and I can really see the Aivazovsky influence.

Taking a good photo is SO, SO challenging.  Have you seen these videos?

I had to stop by and take another look at this painting.  You definitely captured the aivazovsky look and feel. The light shining through the wave is what does it for me. And the night sky.

I like it. The waves are pretty awesome. And for some reason I keep getting drawn into the dark side of the lighthouse. Seems like something is hiding in those shadows. A better picture always helps, but unfortunately I have no pointers for you, because my pictures suck lol

This is really nice.

I absolutely hate taking pictures of my paintings.

After all, there was a reason we painted it in the first place rather than relying on a photo!
