Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forum but have a quick question about making Slow Dry Medium (SDM).
I'm following the recipe, and making the version for white SDM (basically everything except clove oil). When I mix it all together, I end up with a white precipitate in the medium.
I do dip the container with my mixture in warm water to help it mix together. I wondered if the heat was causing this, but it's not really extreme.
I have made the mixture in the past with the same ingredients, and the same process, without getting the precipitate. Now I have made it twice in a row and had this result.
Has anyone experienced this? Would it matter at all?
Below is an image showing this. You can see it is a cloudy mix instead of a clear solution which I would normally get.
Thank you,
Rob

Welcome to the Forum.
This can be caused by water or air in the mix. Either will settle out over time, decant the fluid when the water pools.
