Odd Canvas Size

I'm copying a work using the actual size and I need a canvas that is 9.5" x 13".

I have not found stretcher bars in 1/2" increments, 9.5" is not available anywhere.

I'm thinking of of just chopping a piece of 1/2" or 3/4" plywood to 9.5" x 13" and stretching/stapling a canvas over it, making a panel, except only stapling as though on stretchers, and not gluing it as on a regular panel.

Does this sound like it could be problematic? I don't really need the give that a canvas on stretchers has.

Any other alternatives?

Look for stretcher bars in cm rather than in? 24 cm would be darned close.

No problems with this. But you can tape it on a panel too.

Do you mean tape it permanently, or just to work on?
