I've just joined and wanted to say hi. I'm a Realist painter from the UK, working mainly in oils. I haven't painted in about 3 years due to my daughter arriving, having a demanding job, chronic sleep deprivation and no time or energy to create, but I'm hoping to start again soon.
Here are some paintings I did a while ago. The image of the Indian man, called Sadhu, was the first portrait I ever painted after I graduated from University back in '08.
Cheers.

Great paintings, stunning.
welcome to the forum.
Outstanding work. Well done!

These were painted in acrylics, but I've since switched to oils. Blending and creating soft edges was so difficult in acrylics and required many many thin glazes or scumbled layers, whereas this is all achieved almost effortlessly with oils.
