Yep the cloudiness is water droplets in suspension. The brown may be clay particles in suspension.
SDM should be clear and slightly thinner than honey and thicker than maple syrup, at least that's the consistency comparisons valid here in Australia.
Leave the mixture to settle and these unwanted components may separate out so that you can pour off the clear SDM. Place the SDM container in a larger container of warm water to thin the mixture and speed the settlement.
The test for your titanium white is that it doesn't harden in a day or so.
This is a lovely portrait. We can't see the photo you worked from but we can assume a good likeness. I agree with Megan the face needs darker values and some textural detail. The dress/neck edge is way too sharp and attracts unwarranted attention.
