As Mark clearly demonstrates the critical area for dark curtain is behind you as you stand at the easel.
Wear dark clothing. This will cut glare on the easel.

A secondary source of glare is behind your easel. This is glare affecting your eyes and results in misperception of value.

By darkening the wall behind a shadow box a still life can come to life.

Perhaps a blackout on one of the windows would make the task easier.

In just about every field of human endeavour there are frauds, fake news, self agrandisement, deception and creative marketing. A touch of calm objectivity brings the realisation that things level out and adjust over time to bring the perpetrators to book. Life is too short and the quality of life too fragile to let such things annoy you. Quality and value will shine through, given sufficient exposure to the market.

DMPrs do not market or promote themselves, singularly or as a group. There are a few exceptions.
Why don’t we have a DMP sales page that is independently run but provides a commission to Mark.
A membership fee of $50 to $100 each ought to build a great sales outlet. Could operate as a brokerage, with members responsible for content and order fulfilment.

    Cool figure fragments.

I adopt the practice, where a pose is less than ten minutes, of just trying to faithfully capture the gesture. No details, a few abstract lines, some pillow and tubular shapes that may form a structural outline for later elaboration.

The first few few lines of gesture captures the action and movement. A useful piece of advice I got from a sketch course is to put a verb on the line of action - twist, tense, stretch, slump etc to remind me of the kind of action that I need to show in the anatomy.

I think Cadmium red light ought to match this. Go for a Gamblin or Graham brand as many brands are too orange.
