Thoughts please ? - I am happy (ish) with my effort on the wine glass, I keep pinching and move and blending paint, but it is not adding realistic value - I am where I am with this glass, lots learnt and I know my next effort will take these lessons and be the better for it last - the single green grape
Ok - no way do I have the skills to invert a faint eclipse for the wine glass foot, that is off the card for this one, but the other highlights are now placed within the glass
I don't mind that you skip the inverted reflected wine glass, but I also encourage you to keep an open mind on it should a solution comes to you for that part. It's better to include it to make the glass complete and whole in it's environment. No worries for now. Fantastic work, you are also learning to recognize to not over do anything, knowing when to stop. Are there highlights missing or not included at the top of stem where the bottom round of the glass meet, on the right side?
@Forgiveness I have an issue with the wine glass bowl sitting on the stem, it does not look correct even in the photo it does not look like it gels together - yes I have many highlights to add after golf today my main focus and purpose of this painting was to see if I could improve on my last attempt with all the new knowledge and learning I had gained since my last attempt, and I think we can agree that I have improved greatly is this a work of art,... no not at all, but it will lead to my next attempt which could be a half decent painting and that's the exciting part
i will finish the final touches today and place it to one side so that it can dry - I have gained a huge amount of experience from this and my wife's cup and I am already thinking about my next effort,...
Ok - I had to have a go, let me know if the inverted wine glass bottom looks a little off? (It's an inverted Elipse rolled over a convex arc) From 4' away it all comes together rather nice I wish the photo did the colors justice but it don't the grapes have amazing texture really proud of those feed back & final comments very welcome thanks @Forgiveness and @Richard_P and @PaulB
It's like night and day, @Alsart. Your persistence and patience has paid off well. The grapes are good enough to eat. And I really like the right side (when viewing) of the wine glass. Very smooth, expresses the glass well. Good for you and keep it up.
Oh my God , it’s just fabulous. You’ve learned so much. This is so professionally painted now. Your colours are spot on !!! Can’t stop looking at it. Well done @alsart So glad you turned this around and got it so right.
