I'm having trouble finding 5000k (or thereabouts) light bulbs. I find almost nothing on Amazon when I search 5000K or 5200K, and when I search for "balanced white light" I get only 6500K bulbs. And then I found this site that distinguishes "color rendering" (the ability to illuminate color with fine distinctions that can be seen with the human eye) from "color temperature" and says the K value is not as important as the color rendering index, or CRI, and that almost all halogen and incandescent lights, regardless of K value, are best for color rendering.

Any thoughts? Does anyone know anything about CRI? Do you use 5200K bulbs, and if so, where do you get them?

Thanks so much,

Marta
