Solvent free media

So I just started painting within the last week or so and I've been using stand oil as my only medium. I like the consistency but it becomes dry to the touch over night so I was thinking of mixing in some clove oil to slow the drying. I know the SDM suggested by mark uses these oils and odorless mineral spirits. I was wondering what other people think of omitting the solvent and only using the oils as media. The thickness of the paint does not really bother me and I don't like the idea of breathing in solvents all day so I figure Its not a big deal. Also does the amount of clove oil matter that much, and will it effect the strength of the paint film when used.
