27th: Morning race to the market

edited April 2018 in Post Your Paintings
Hello Everyone,

This is a 8"x10" painting of a photo I took of Puri Beach on my trip to India... It was one of the early morning shots of fishermen bringing in their overnight catch, onto the beach for the morning market. A wave had just crashed and the fisherman was making use of the force of water to move the boat to the shore which was just a bit ahead.

Precision might be largely lacking as I worked quite fast by my standards. the shadows in the water on the right are a hint deeper in the original painting than you can see in photo. The horizon might need a little smoothening.
Going to slow down a bit for the next couple of paintings. Suggestions are always very welcome.  :)
