I have stained a canvas few days ago (I have never did it before, I am about to paint my first DMP). Unfortunetly, I have a problem with my canvas (I have painted before and never stumbled upon such obstacle). I have attached a photo of something that looks like a crack. Is it possible that gesso cracked? I have not primed the canvas myself, I bought it in art suplly store. This is a high guality canvas made by a small local manufacture, I have used their products before and never seen something like that.
Have you ever had such problem? Can I paint on such surface or is it risky? I am painting something for a cliant, that is why I am so concerned about it.
