I used a failed en plein air painting (that was heavily laden with paint because I was using a palette knife) - the texture is very, very rough. I've been watching Michael McCarthy on youtube - he has a lot of fun painting his tonalist studies so I decided to give it a go. This is roughly based on one of his designs.
It will take a year to dry completely because of the thickness, I am thinking of tweaking but my husband says to leave it alone. The pointy tree bugs me.
Any suggestions, input, ideas? This was loads of fun to do. Thank you in advance for your help.
