Your improvement has impressed me a lot ... Congratulations.... great paint !!
I like ur greens nice landscape
to make the confusion even worth @Kaustav: I like them all :-) (but I really liked the light blue color in the sky and in the river of the first painting... it gave a glow to the whole painting... ) ...
Great technique. The equal balance seems too much. CA I suggest Masteeing composition by Ian Roberts publish by North light books available on Kindle. He promote subtle change to solution. I have a feeling you might like it.
Definately better. I'm surprised you haven't sold it yet.
@Kaustav, @Forgiveness It has been a month since I last came by to see the painting and I just had time to look up the links you posted and some other contemporary "realists" I didn't find any... They are called realists but they go for the exaggerated photorealism or they don't get very close to real. Comic book art is more in tune with realism than they are. It kind of reinforces my belief that the hierarchy of art education thinks there is no room in fine art for realism. You can call it conceptual but it's not realism. Realism is conceptual. Paint by numbers is not. There is a difference. Love that Kopai river scene. I think of myself paddling my canoe there then I remember it gets to 118 degrees there. Still beautiful to look at though in the comfort of my air-conditioned home.
