I am a homeschooling mom of a teenager. My son is an avid painter of those teeny tiny war gaming models. He tried to get me to hang out with him and paint, but I soon found that my eyes are too old and too crappy to put a face on a 1" tall model!
So I dragged out an easel and thought I would try my hand at oil painting instead. That was about 6 months ago. My son and I still "hang out" a lot, and I have finally matured from my Bob Ross beginnings and gotten a lot braver in my painting choices! I have just found Mark Carder, and I am about halfway there to getting everything I need to make slow drying medium etc. (I'm in a small town in Ireland so shopping for needed ingredients is extremely difficult!) Apparently, they use venice turpentine on horses here...
I am looking forward to thoroughly learning this method to see what I can do!
